As the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the region, the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission (Tri-County) is required to develop a budget and work program in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Transportation and all public transportation operators that include a discussion of all urban transportation planning priorities.
This document, the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), guides our agency’s transportation program and outlines a variety of our transportation-related work activities, including long-range planning, short-range planning (TIP maintenance), environmental coordination, data collection and improving data visualization, technical assistance, and program management and administration.
Tri-County is taking public comment on the UPWP from May 15th through May 22nd; it is anticipated to be adopted by our Board of Commissioners at their regularly scheduled meeting on May 22. View it at www.mitcrpc.org/workprogram.
