2019 MTPA Conference

This year's Michigan Transportation Planning Association Conference is from July 24-26, 2019 in downtown Lansing at the Radisson Hotel at the Capitol.

This annual conference brings together elected officials and transportation and land use planners representing federal, statewide, regional, and local entities from across Michigan to exchange best practices, successful planning strategies, and policy development techniques.

BOOK A ROOM

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Radisson Hotel Lansing at the Capitol for July 23, 2019 - July 26, 2019. The special room rate will be available until July 1st or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. 

Room Rate: $129.95/night + taxes

Method of Reservations: Individual attendees will make reservations directly with Radisson at 1-800-333-3333 or www.radisson.com/lansingmi. Use the Promotional Code: MTPA19 to receive your discounted group rate.

Parking: Valet Fee is $15.00/night for overnight guests, $20.00 fee per entry. Temporary self-parking is available on a space available, first come, first served basis in the city-owned ramp conveniently connected to the Radisson Hotel Lansing at the Capitol via a climate controlled pedway. The current parking rate is $1.50 for each ½ hour, maximum of $15.00 per day.

Room cancellations will be accepted without penalty up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Cancellations received within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit one (1) night room and tax. 

STUDENT REGISTRATION

Conference registration for Thursday sessions, including the banquet, is free for the first 20 students to submit a poster presentation. All transportation and planning topics are welcome! These may include:

• autonomous vehicle technology
• alternative fuels
• traffic engineering
• pavement design
• urban planning
• freight logistics
• transportation planning

By presenting a Poster at the conference, you have the opportunity for a cash prize of $500 in addition to admission for the day of the conference and an invitation to our awards banquet to network with other professionals. Submit your proposal and view additional information HERE.
